FRAMOS is looking for an Image Quality Engineer to join our growing team in Čakovec. Working at the intersection of optics, precision mechanics, and manufacturing, you will help validate, optimize, and improve camera modules used in cutting-edge applications worldwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career mechanical engineers who want to build expertise in optics, imaging systems, precision mechanics, advanced manufacturing, and embedded technologies.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You don't need prior experience in optics or imaging – you will learn with us. You will start with clear tasks such as:
- Running tests that help us understand the mechanical and optical behavior of camera modules during product onboarding and validation.
- Evaluating how optical alignment, mechanical assembly, and tolerances affect image quality performance.
- Learning to operate and configure specialized laboratory and measurement equipment such as optical benches, calibration devices, and environmental test systems.
- Investigating the effects of manufacturing variation, mechanical tolerances, vibration, temperature changes, and other environmental conditions on product performance.
- Supporting process automation and continuous improvement initiatives that help us manufacture camera modules with the highest quality standards.
- Performing root cause analysis and solving engineering problems using measurement data, statistical methods, Python, SQL, and other engineering tools.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve product robustness, manufacturability, and production yields.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
We're looking for someone who is:
- Curious about how complex products are designed, built, tested, and improved.
- Interested in optics, imaging systems, precision engineering, manufacturing processes, product validation, and quality improvement.
- Comfortable working with measurements, technical analysis, and engineering problem-solving.
- Open to learning new technologies, tools, and methods.
- Motivated, reliable, and proactive.
- Enjoy collaborating with engineers from different technical disciplines.
- Able to work on-site in Čakovec.
- Comfortable communicating in English on a daily basis.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering is especially relevant for this role. Graduates from Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Materials Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar technical fields are also encouraged to apply.
