Application Engineer (m/f/d)

ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an experienced Engineer with a focus on electronics and software, looking to take the next step in your career?

We are FRAMOS, an international fast-growing product-driven technology company specializing in embedded vision, with over 180 brilliant employees from all over the world. We are currently looking for an Application Engineer to join our international team! This position will be based in Čakovec, making you the first Application Engineer in this location.

Reporting to Manager 1st/2nd Level Technical Solutions & Support based in Germany, your responsibilities will include:

  • You will have a strong contribution to our customer satisfaction, helping our customers during their design-in phase with the goal of shortening the customer’s product development time
  • You will reconstruct and troubleshoot customer issues and perform feasibility requests
  • You will create and maintain an effective interface between our customers and our Engineering team or our distribution partners to resolve 3rd level product support questions
  • You will test planned releases through customer’s eyes and give feedback to our Product Management team
  • You will continuously improve and create new customer experience related documentation (e.g. Application Notes, How-To‘s, FAQ‘s, User Guide, …)
  • You will support building up our knowledge base
  • You will help to design and improve internal support processes and structures
  • With your technical understanding, you will support our Sales and FAE colleagues with design-in questions around image sensors, embedded imaging, 3D cameras, optics, and more
  • You will support our Product Management and Engineering teams in creating and building product demos for exhibitions
The role is based in our newly built campus in Čakovec with the possibility of occasional remote work.
YOUR PROFILE
  • You have gained a few years of relevant work experience in electronics, embedded engineering, and/ or optics
  • You have an affinity and basic understanding of a broad variety of technical imaging applications and imaging technologies like optics, 3D imaging, CMOS sensors, etc.
  • You possess good knowledge of digital electronics, Computer System Architecture
  • You ideally have an overview of Embedded Systems (Processors, GPU, Single Board Computer, FPGA)
  • Software knowledge in C/C++/Python and Embedded Linux is a great add-on
  • You have strong communication skills and are a team player
  • You easily adapt to different knowledge levels (on the customer's side, but also internally) - meaning you can explain complex technologies in an easy and understandable way
  • You have good self-management skills and can prioritize tasks
  • You can strongly and efficiently communicate in English and Croatian, German is a plus
